In 2020, I left a perfectly good job at Virgin Galactic in search of a more fulfilling form of mechanical engineering. I wanted less of the "toil and moil over spreadsheets" kind of engineering, and more of the "strap wings on your back and jump off a cliff" kind.
This newsletter is an update on my progress as I inch towards that level of chutzpah. But a straightforward progress report would be pretty boring, so I usually wander off and talk about related things like creativity, sustainability, and failure.
