Oh, man, the paint left inside that mould! :S In your defence it looks like that is not the original paint job because I would not expect Saab to have used a flap disc on an angle grinder to clean up the metalwork, and it also appears as though no primer was used when painting it. But like you said: at least you're making a new panel :). We live and learn. I'm really enjoying this series, thanks for posting!
